AmCham Panamá launched the first mentoring session of the San Miguelito School Leadership Program – 2026 Edition, an initiative that seeks to guide, advise, accompany and support school administrators in carrying out educational projects that contribute to strengthening their schools and improving the quality of education in Panama.
The program features the participation of mentors from AmCham Panamá member companies, who accompany school principals and vice principals in developing educational projects designed to address the particular needs of their schools. Through this process, the mentors share experiences, knowledge and leadership tools that help equip administrators to carry out their projects successfully.
For this 2026 edition, the program includes three mentoring sessions, beginning with a first virtual session held on Tuesday, July 7, followed by two in-person meetings in which mentors and school administrators will be able to deepen their collaborative work. These sessions are supported by our strategic ally, Glasswing Panamá, the organization responsible for supporting the coordination, monitoring and documentation of the program’s results.
This effort reflects the commitment of AmCham Panamá and its member companies to strengthening the national education system through initiatives that promote leadership, innovation and the development of school communities.
AmCham Panamá thanks the member companies that make this initiative possible through the participation of their employees as volunteer mentors: AES Panamá, Arias, Abrego & López, BDO, Cevaxin, Dell Technologies, Grant Thornton, IGRA – Icaza, González-Ruiz & Alemán, Minera Panamá, Modatrading Fundacion ITS BY TAC, NECOM, Novutec Group, Petróleos Delta, Quality Leadership University, Ricardo Pérez, RSM Panamá, S.A., The Metropolitan School of Panama, United Airlines and Venturia Legal.
