The American Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Panama (AmCham Panamá) recognized corporate initiatives during the 2026 edition of the Reconocimiento Liderazgo Sostenible (Sustainable Leadership Recognition, RLS), held on Thursday, October 22, at the Hotel Miramar InterContinental Panamá. The programs honored were selected from 20 submissions presented by member companies and evaluated by a jury of national and international experts in sustainability and corporate governance.
Since it was created in 2010, the Reconocimiento Liderazgo Sostenible has sought to identify, promote and share good business practices that deliver concrete results in environmental, social and governance matters, with the aim of turning them into benchmarks for other organizations and contributing to Panama’s sustainable economic development.
In this edition, the participating initiatives showed how companies continue to embed sustainability as an integral part of their business strategies, driving actions that create value for their employees, customers, communities and stakeholders.
At the ceremony, the President of AmCham Panamá, Mariela De La Guardia Oteiza, opened the event by stressing that “the country’s sustainability requires a shared vision, collaboration across sectors and, above all, decisive action,” and called for continued joint efforts to build a stronger, more resilient society.
